The Sky-Dweller is Rolex’s annual-calendar travel watch, showing a second time zone and a date that only needs correcting once a year. Reference 336934 is the White Rolesor version: a 42mm Oystersteel case fitted with an 18k white gold fluted bezel.
It was introduced at Watches and Wonders 2023, when Rolex updated the Sky-Dweller line with the new calibre 9002 and added a five-piece Jubilee bracelet option to the steel-and-white-gold model, which had previously been offered only on the three-link Oyster. This example pairs the bright blue dial with that Jubilee bracelet.
The 336934 replaced reference 326934, which ran on the earlier calibre 9001. It sits as the most complicated watch in Rolex’s current catalogue, reading local time from the centre hands, a second time zone from an off-centre 24-hour disc, and the month and date from the Saros annual calendar. It is regular production, not a limited edition.

The dial is bright blue with a sunray finish that shifts with the light. Applied hour markers and hands are 18k white gold, filled with Chromalight luminescent material that glows blue in low light. The layout stays legible despite carrying two time zones and a full calendar.
A second time zone is shown on an off-centre 24-hour disc below 12 o’clock, read against a fixed inverted red triangle that points to the chosen reference time. The Saros annual calendar marks the current month in red through one of twelve small apertures set around the dial’s circumference.
The date sits at 3 o’clock beneath the Cyclops lens. Printed text reads the Rolex coronet and SKY-DWELLER at the top, with OYSTER PERPETUAL and SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED above 6 o’clock. The current generation is identifiable by the pair of coronets flanking SWISS MADE at the base of the dial.
The case is a 42mm Oyster design in White Rolesor, a combination of Oystersteel and 18k white gold. It uses a monobloc middle case with a screw-down case back and screw-down winding crown, giving the watch its waterproof structure.
The winding crown uses the Twinlock double waterproofness system and screws down against the case. The case back is solid and screw-down, opened only with Rolex tooling. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal carries the Cyclops lens over the date, and the watch is waterproof to 100 metres.
The bezel is 18k white gold, fluted, and bidirectional rotatable as part of the Ring Command system. It is not decorative trim: rotating it unlocks the watch’s functions so they can be set with the crown, selecting local time, the reference time zone, and the annual calendar in turn.
Rolex does not publish the case thickness or lug-to-lug for this reference. Independent measurements put the case at roughly 14mm thick and about 50.5mm lug-to-lug, and the broad bezel makes the watch read larger than 42mm from the top.
This reference is on the Jubilee bracelet, a five-piece link design in Oystersteel first created for the Datejust in 1945. The centre links are polished and the outer links brushed, giving it a dressier presence than the fully brushed sports bracelets.
It closes with a concealed folding Oysterclasp fitted with the Easylink comfort extension, which lets the wearer lengthen the bracelet by approximately 5mm without tools. The Jubilee links also carry patented ceramic inserts inside them to improve flexibility on the wrist and longevity.
Reference 336934 was offered in two bracelet configurations, this five-piece Jubilee and the three-link Oyster, both in Oystersteel. This example is the Jubilee version.
The watch runs on Rolex calibre 9002, a self-winding mechanical movement developed and made in-house by Rolex, released in 2023 and used only on the Sky-Dweller. It has 40 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), and holds a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.
The escapement is the patented Chronergy design in nickel-phosphorus, which is resistant to magnetic fields. The movement carries a blue Parachrom hairspring with a Rolex overcoil, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, and a Perpetual rotor with an optimised ball bearing. It holds Superlative Chronometer certification, tested to minus 2 / plus 2 seconds per day after casing.
Functions are the hours, minutes, and seconds; a second time zone on the 24-hour disc; and the annual calendar showing date and month. The month display uses twelve apertures around the dial, and the movement includes a stop-seconds for precise setting.
To set the watch, rotate the Ring Command bezel to select the function, then use the crown. This adjusts the local hour hand in one-hour jumps, the reference-time disc, and the calendar without disturbing the running seconds. The date is rapid-set and shown at 3 o’clock under the Cyclops.
The material character is a steel watch lifted by solid white gold on the bezel, markers, and hands, so the metals read close in colour while the gold adds weight and scratch resistance where it shows.

The 336934 entered production in 2023, at the tail of the modern large green box generation, so a 2023 example is era-correct with that box. The redesigned green ECO box belongs to later production and to service replacements. On a 2023 or 2024 full set it points to a replaced box rather than the original packaging, which matters when the set is described as complete.
The watch carried a 5-year international guarantee, the standard Rolex coverage on all models since July 2015 and applied at the point of sale. For this era the guarantee took the form of the green plastic warranty card, which had replaced the earlier printed paper certificate, stamped and dated by the authorised dealer and supplied with a matching card holder and document set.

A guarantee dated in 2023 runs to 2028, and one dated in 2024 runs to 2029, so an example from either year is still within its original coverage as of 2026. The dated, dealer-completed card is the primary authenticity document for the set; a blank or undated card is a concern.
At 42mm across, with a measured thickness around 14mm and a lug-to-lug near 50.5mm, the Sky-Dweller wears larger than its diameter suggests, mostly because of the wide fluted bezel and the case height needed for the movement. It suits wrists of about 6.75 inches and up. It is wearable on a 6.5-inch wrist but noticeable there, and below that it is a large watch.
The Jubilee bracelet drapes more softly than the Oyster and reads slightly dressier, and the Easylink extension gives about 5mm of on-the-fly adjustment for warm days or over a cuff. The white gold bezel adds weight to the top of the case, and the solid links pull the balance back so the watch sits steadily rather than tipping forward.
It clears a shirt cuff but has real presence on the wrist. This is a daily and travel watch for someone who wants a genuine annual calendar and a second time zone and does not mind a substantial case.
