The Rolex Sky-Dweller is the brand’s most complicated wristwatch. It combines an annual calendar with a dual time zone display, both governed by the Ring Command bezel, and is aimed at frequent travellers who need to track a home time and a local time at once. Reference 336934 is the White Rolesor version: an Oystersteel case fitted with a solid 18 ct white gold fluted bezel.
The 336934 was introduced at Watches and Wonders 2023 as the second generation of the steel-and-white-gold Sky-Dweller, replacing the earlier 326934 that ran from 2017. The main change was mechanical: the reference moved from calibre 9001 to the updated calibre 9002. The mint green dial was new to the collection at that launch.
The 336934-0002 pairs the mint green dial with the five-piece Jubilee bracelet. It sits at the entry point of the Sky-Dweller range in terms of case metal, since the fuller-gold versions of the model use Everose or yellow gold cases, while retaining the same movement, case size, and complication set as the rest of the line.
The dial is mint green with a sunray finish, framed by a printed minute track at the outer edge. Applied white gold baton hour markers carry a luminous fill, and the centre hours, minutes, and seconds are read with white gold hands whose upper sections are luminous. The hour and minute hands are partially open so they do not cover the off-centre disc as they sweep past it.
An off-centre 24-hour disc sits in the upper half of the dial and shows the reference (home) time, with a fixed inverted red triangle marking the chosen hour. The date appears in a window at 3 o’clock under the Cyclops lens. Twelve small apertures run around the circumference of the dial for the month display, with the current month marked by a red block in one of the twelve windows. The dial text reads ROLEX with the crown at 12 o’clock, and SKY-DWELLER, OYSTER PERPETUAL, SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER, OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED above the centre. Luminescence is Rolex’s Chromalight, which emits a blue glow.
The case is a 42 mm Oyster case in Oystersteel, built as a monobloc middle case with a screw-down case back and screw-down winding crown. Media measurements put the thickness at roughly 14 mm and the lug-to-lug at about 50.5 mm; Rolex does not officially publish either figure. The flanks are close to slab-sided, with polished bezel-side surfaces, a polished chamfer along the lugs, and brushed lug tops.
The winding crown uses the Twinlock double waterproofness system, and water resistance is rated at 100 metres (330 feet). The crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire with a Cyclops lens over the date. The bezel is solid 18 ct white gold, fluted, and bidirectionally rotatable. It is not decorative on this model: it is the Rolex Ring Command bezel, which links to the winding crown and movement so the wearer can select and set the watch’s functions. Rotating the bezel changes which function the crown adjusts, allowing the local time, date, reference time, and month to be set in sequence.
Reference 336934-0002 is fitted with the five-piece link Jubilee bracelet in Oystersteel, brushed and polished. The Jubilee was originally created for the Datejust in 1945 and uses narrower centre links flanked by outer rows, giving it a suppler feel than the three-link Oyster bracelet offered on other 336934 configurations.
The bracelet closes with a folding Oysterclasp. It carries the Easylink comfort extension, a Rolex system that lets the wearer extend the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm without tools. The links also contain patented ceramic inserts inside them, which Rolex fits to improve the bracelet’s flexibility and long-term durability. This exact reference suffix carries the Jubilee bracelet; the 336934 is also sold on the Oyster bracelet under other suffixes.
The watch runs on Rolex calibre 9002, a self-winding mechanical movement developed and manufactured entirely by Rolex, introduced in 2023 as an update to the calibre 9001 that had powered the Sky-Dweller since 2012. It has 40 jewels, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and holds a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Winding is bidirectional via a Perpetual rotor.
The movement carries the Chronergy escapement in nickel-phosphorus, which is resistant to magnetic fields, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, and Paraflex shock absorbers. It is a Superlative Chronometer, certified to a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing.
Functions are centre hour, minute, and seconds hands; a second time zone shown on the off-centre 24-hour disc; the Saros instantaneous annual calendar, which requires a date correction only once a year on 1 March; a month display through the twelve dial apertures; a date at 3 o’clock with rapid setting; and a stop-seconds function for precise time setting.
To operate the complications, the Ring Command bezel is rotated to one of its positions, each of which assigns a different function to the crown. The date is tied to local time and moves automatically when the local hour hand is advanced across time zones, so adjusting local time on arrival also advances the date if needed.
The case, middle case, and bracelet are Oystersteel, Rolex’s stainless steel from the 904L family, chosen for its corrosion resistance and finish retention. The fluted bezel is solid 18 ct white gold, the combination of steel and gold that Rolex markets as White Rolesor, a construction the brand has used since the 1930s.
The crystal is sapphire with an anti-scratch surface and a Cyclops date lens. The hour markers and hands are white gold with Chromalight luminescence. The bracelet’s internal link inserts are ceramic, fitted to aid flexibility and wear resistance. The clasp is Oystersteel.
The overall material character is a durable steel sports-dress watch lifted by a solid gold bezel and gold dial furniture, rather than a fully precious-metal piece.

Rolex began rolling out its redesigned packaging around late 2024, but Authorised Dealers exhausted existing stocks independently, so watches sold around the transition can legitimately have either generation. That alone does not indicate a mismatched set. A 2026 example would most typically carry the Gen 2 box, while a Gen 1 box on a watch sold near the transition is still era-correct.
An example sold new in 2026 carries Rolex’s five-year international guarantee, which has applied to new Rolex purchases since 1 July 2015. The guarantee is recorded on the credit-card-style guarantee card from the post-2020 generation, which carries the model and serial information and is dated and validated by the official retailer at the point of sale. This later card format omits the purchaser’s name and the printed retailer identity that appeared on earlier cards. The card is the primary authenticity document in the set.

The Sky-Dweller wears larger than its 42 mm diameter suggests, mostly because of case height. At around 14 mm thick with near-vertical flanks, it has clear presence on the wrist, though the lugs slope down and the lug-to-lug of roughly 50.5 mm keeps it from overhanging on medium wrists. It suits wrists in the region of 6.75 to 7.5 inches best; on wrists near 6.5 inches it is wearable but noticeable.
The Jubilee bracelet adds to the dressier read of this configuration and drapes more softly than the Oyster, and the white gold bezel places some weight toward the top of the case, offset by the solid steel links and clasp underneath. The Easylink extension allows a quick 5 mm size change for temperature-driven wrist changes through the day. It clears a shirt cuff, but its thickness is felt under a close cuff. This is a watch for someone who wants a complicated Rolex that can be worn daily and dressed either up or down, with the mint green dial and Jubilee leaning toward the dressier and more distinctive end of the range.
