The reference was introduced at Baselworld 2016 as part of the updated Datejust 41 generation that replaced the earlier Datejust II. That update brought a reworked case with slimmer lugs and a narrower bezel, the return of the Jubilee bracelet as an option, and the new-generation caliber 3235.
Within the collection the 126334 is a regular-production model. This example carries a blue dial with a sunray (sunburst) finish, produced by brushing fine grooves outward from the centre so the colour shifts with the angle of the wrist. The hour markers are applied batons in 18 ct white gold, filled with Chromalight luminescent material, and the baton hands match them in white gold with Chromalight.
The date sits at 3 o’clock in a framed aperture, magnified by the Cyclops lens on the crystal. A printed minute track runs around the outer edge, and the rehaut (the inner flange) is engraved with the repeating ROLEX signature and a serial at 6 o’clock.
The printed dial text reads ROLEX with the coronet at 12, then OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST below it, SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED above 6 o’clock, and Swiss Made at the base of the dial.
The case is the 41 mm Oyster design, with the middle case machined from a solid block of Oystersteel and a fixed bezel in solid 18 ct white gold cut with the Rolex fluting. The fluted bezel is decorative here, not a working scale. The case measures around 11.6 mm thick as measured, with a 21 mm lug width.
A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial and carries the Cyclops magnifier over the date. The winding crown is a screw-down Twinlock unit using a double waterproofness system, and the caseback is solid Oystersteel, screwed down with fine fluting and tightened with Rolex tooling.
Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The combination of screw-down crown, screwed caseback, and gasket-sealed crystal is what carries that rating.
This reference is fitted here on the Oyster bracelet, reference 72610, a three-piece link design in Oystersteel with 21 mm end pieces. The centre links are polished and the outer links are brushed with polished edges. The bracelet closes with a folding Oysterclasp.
The clasp integrates the Easylink comfort extension, a fold-out link that adds roughly 5 mm of length without tools. The Oyster bracelet arrives with about 12 links plus two fixed end links, and around four to five of those links are removable for sizing.
The same reference is also offered on the five-piece Jubilee bracelet, reference 62610, in Oystersteel. The bracelet fitted to a given example is set by the configuration ordered, and this one is the Oyster.
The watch runs on the Rolex caliber 3235, an in-house automatic movement with bidirectional winding through a Perpetual rotor. It holds 31 jewels, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and carries a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
The caliber uses the Chronergy escapement in a nickel-phosphorus alloy, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, and a free-sprung balance regulated by gold Microstella nuts on a traversing balance bridge. It is COSC-certified and then tested again by Rolex after casing to the Superlative Chronometer standard of minus 2 to plus 2 seconds per day.
Functions are hours, minutes, central sweep seconds, and an instantaneous date with rapid setting. To operate it, unscrew the crown: the first pulled position quick-sets the date, and the second position sets the time with a stop-seconds function for precise synchronisation. Screw the crown back down against the case to restore water resistance.
The case and bracelet are Oystersteel, the corrosion-resistant alloy Rolex uses across the Oyster line. The bezel is solid 18 ct white gold, which is what defines the white Rolesor construction on this reference. The crystal is sapphire with a Cyclops lens.
The dial furniture is 18 ct white gold: the applied baton markers and the baton hands are both white gold, filled with Chromalight luminescent material that emits a blue glow in low light. The clasp and end links are Oystersteel to match the bracelet.
Overall the material character is a white-metal watch with a single gold accent at the bezel: hard-wearing steel construction with a solid-gold element that lifts it above an all-steel Datejust.

Authorised dealer inventory transition overlaps at the boundary, so a watch produced near the changeover can legitimately arrive with either packaging generation without indicating a mismatched set. A 2025 example falls in the Gen 2 window.
The 126334 launched after Rolex extended its guarantee, so every example of this reference shipped with a five-year international guarantee from date of purchase at an authorised dealer. The guarantee is recorded on a plastic, credit-card-format guarantee card with an embedded chip, activated and dated at the point of sale. A 2025 example is covered until 2030 from its purchase date.

Transitional overlap exists at the changeover, as older inventory continued to be delivered after the new format began. The five-year term applies to every example of this reference because it entered production after the 2015 extension. The dated, dealer-completed guarantee card is the primary authenticity document for a full set; a blank or photocopied card is a red flag. A 2025 example carries the Gen 2 electronically activated card.
The 41 mm case wears close to its stated size, with the fluted white gold bezel and polished centre links adding a little visual presence beyond the dial opening. At around 11.6 mm thick it stays reasonably flat and slips under a shirt cuff without much fuss.
It suits medium to larger wrists best, broadly in the 6.5 to 8 inch range, and the Oyster bracelet with its Easylink extension makes day-to-day fit easy to fine-tune.
