The Omega Speedmaster X-33 was introduced in 1998 as a modern-day Moonwatch – now ‘Mars Watch’. As such it featured a high-tech titanium case and an analog/digital movement with a specific set of functions. A second generation was introduced in 2001, having received a number of minor updates.Reference 318.90.42.79.01.001 is a special version of ref. 3291.50.00 for special order / military customers, e.g. the 105th Airlift Squadron.
