The Grand Seiko SBGD001 was introduced in 2016 and discontinued in 2017 in favor of the SBGD201. It was the first Grand Seiko to be made in Seiko’s ‘Micro Artist Studio’, which before only made the Credor-labeled watches. It features a Zaratsu-polished platinum case paired with a white ‘Diamond Dust’ dial that is meant to be reminiscent of Suwa district winter mornings.
