The Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 26400SO.OO.A054CA.01 is a 44mm selfwinding chronograph built around a stainless steel case, a green ceramic bezel, and a beige “Méga Tapisserie” dial. It is a sports chronograph with a date and a display caseback, sold on a camouflage-pattern rubber strap with a second khaki green rubber strap supplied in the set.
Audemars Piguet presented the reference at SIHH 2018 in January, as part of a group of Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs that used hand-crafted ceramic bezels, pushpieces, and crowns. Sales began in July 2018. The colour scheme of green ceramic with a camouflage strap led the watch to be widely called the “Combat” or “Camo Khaki.”
It sits in the 44mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph line, above the standard steel Offshore chronographs of the period in material content through its ceramic bezel and matching ceramic crown and pushers. It was the first 44mm Offshore to use the camouflage theme, ahead of later camouflage Offshore models. The reference is now discontinued.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph "Combat Camo Khaki" 44mm Green Bezel Champagne Dial Ceramic Stainless Steel COMPLETE SET MINT CONDITION EXTRA STRAP 26400SO.OO.A054CA.01
Presenting one of Audemars Piguet's most popular model: the "Combat Camo Khaki." Nicknamed "Camo" "Khaki" or "Combat" because of its military-inspired color…
The dial is beige, described by the brand as a “Méga Tapisserie” dial, with the enlarged waffle-style guilloché pattern that defines the pattern name. Three recessed chronograph subdials in black sit at twelve, nine, and six o’clock, giving strong contrast against the beige field. Orange accents mark the chronograph hands and subdial detailing.

Applied baton hour markers carry a luminescent coating, matched by luminous baton hands for the hours and minutes. A date aperture sits at three o’clock. The outer flange carries a printed tachymeter-style scale reading “BASE 1000,” and the dial is signed “AP Audemars Piguet” below twelve, with “SWISS MADE” at the base of the dial.
The subdial layout follows the caliber: a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, and a small seconds register, with the central chronograph seconds hand sweeping the full dial.
The case is the octagonal Royal Oak Offshore form in stainless steel, measuring 44mm in diameter and 14.4mm thick, with the brushed and polished surface treatment used across the Offshore line. The case pairs the steel body with ceramic external components.

The bezel is green ceramic, referred to by the brand as “khaki,” and is secured by eight hexagonal white gold screws in the Royal Oak Offshore pattern. The crown and the two chronograph pushpieces are also green ceramic, with the crown screw-locked. The crystal is glareproofed sapphire, and the caseback is a glareproofed sapphire display back showing the movement.
Water resistance is 100 metres. The bezel is fixed and does not carry a timing function; the tachymeter scale used to read chronograph elapsed speed is printed on the dial flange rather than the bezel.
The watch is fitted on a camouflage-pattern textured rubber strap, and the set includes a second strap in solid khaki green rubber. Both are secured by a stainless steel pin buckle (tang buckle).

The strap mounts into the Offshore lugs in the integrated style of the case. The second strap allows the wearer to change between the camouflage pattern and the plain khaki colourway. This reference is a strap watch and was not offered on a metal bracelet.
The movement is the Audemars Piguet Calibre 3126/3840, a selfwinding chronograph caliber. The 3126 base is derived from the AP Calibre 3120, with the 3840 chronograph module added. It is composed of 365 parts and 59 jewels, runs at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), and provides a power reserve of 50 hours. Winding is by a central rotor in 22-carat gold.
Functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and chronograph with a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour counter.
The chronograph is operated by the two ceramic pushpieces: the upper pusher starts and stops the timing, and the lower pusher resets the counters to zero. The date is set from the screw-locked crown. The display caseback shows the finished movement and gold rotor through the sapphire.
The case body is stainless steel. The bezel, crown, and pushpieces are ceramic, a hard, scratch-resistant material that holds its colour and finish over time. The bezel screws are white gold.
Both crystals are sapphire, glareproofed, one over the dial and one forming the display caseback. The applied dial markers and hands carry a luminescent coating. The straps are rubber, one camouflage-patterned and one plain khaki, and the buckle is stainless steel.
The material character combines a steel sports case with coloured ceramic external parts and rubber straps, a construction aimed at durability and colour retention rather than precious-metal content.
A full set for this reference from its 2018 production era would typically include:

The second rubber strap is a reference-specific inclusion. Because the watch was delivered with two straps, a full set is expected to include both the camouflage strap and the khaki green strap. A set missing the second strap is incomplete for this reference.

This reference used a single box generation across its production life, the Gen 1 presentation box of the 2018 to 2023 period. A later Audemars Piguet box on a serviced example does not change the watch itself but is relevant to how a full set is judged.
At the time of sale in 2018, Audemars Piguet supplied this reference with a two-year international warranty, documented by the brand’s guarantee card completed at the point of sale. The card is the primary dated record tying the watch to its retailer and sale date.

At original sale in 2018 the reference carried a two-year international warranty, documented on the Gen 2 card format. Old warranty materials could remain in circulation during rollout periods, so packaging and warranty generation may not always align exactly with the production year. Audemars Piguet extended its warranty to eight years for purchases from 2022 onward, which was not retroactive and does not apply to a 2018 example.
The original two-year warranty has expired on every example as of 2026. On the current market the guarantee card functions as a dated authenticity and provenance document rather than active coverage. A stamped, dated card completed by the selling retailer is era-correct, and because the reference is discontinued, Audemars Piguet can supply an Extract from the Archives confirming the reference and its production against the case number.
At 44mm across and 14.4mm thick, the watch wears as a large sports chronograph with clear wrist presence, in line with the 44mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph case it shares. It suits medium to larger wrists, and the height means it sits tall rather than flat under a cuff.

The rubber straps add comfort and flexibility against the size of the case, and the second strap lets the wearer switch the look between the camouflage pattern and the plain khaki. It is a casual, sporty watch rather than a dress piece, matched to informal wear.
This reference exists in a single configuration: a 44mm stainless steel case, green ceramic bezel with matching ceramic crown and pushpieces, a beige “Méga Tapisserie” dial with black subdials, and the Calibre 3126/3840, delivered on a camouflage rubber strap with a second khaki green rubber strap.
Two neighboring references are routinely confused with this one and are separate watches whose specifications do not carry across. Reference 26400SO.OO.A055CA.01 is the green-dial camouflage version, produced as a limited edition. The standard 44mm steel Offshore Chronograph with a black ceramic bezel is reference 26400SO.OO.A002CA.01. Check the reference number on the caseback against the exact configuration rather than the camouflage theme alone.
