Nicknamed the “Admiral” for its crisp naval looks, this piece pairs a bright white face with deep navy accents that no other steel Diver can match. Five colors came out of that 2017 run and white was the one that made people stop walking. Collectors who already own the black one and the blue one usually come hunting for this one next.
Presents itself in mint condition with little to no signs of wear. Set against a crisp white Mega Tapisserie face, the tiny sunken squares catch light like fresh snow, and after dark the markers wake up in bright green while the minute track glows a cool blue. Carved from stainless steel, the octagonal case flips between soft brushing and mirror polish as you turn your wrist, locked down by eight hexagonal screws that started a whole revolution back in 1972. Wrapped in navy rubber, the strap has a matte grain that feels closer to suede than a dive strap has any right to feel.
Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, and dive timing. The main crown sits at 4 o’clock and screws down, so unscrew it first and pull it all the way out to move the hands. Set the hands to 6:30 to keep the date wheel safe, then push the crown to its middle notch and click the date back to yesterday. Return to the outer notch and walk the hands forward past midnight until you land on today’s date and the right time, then push the crown in and screw it back down. The second crown lives at 10 o’clock and turns the blue scale inside the glass, so line the triangle up with the minute hand and you can count sixty minutes of bottom time. Calibre 3120 beats away behind the glass caseback with about 60 hours of power reserve and 300 meters of water resistance.
Comes as a complete set, double boxed with the outer box, inner presentation box, international warranty card, international sales warranty booklet, instructions for use booklet, an AP folding deployant clasp fitted to the watch, and a second white rubber strap.
Steel Divers get bought because everyone wants one. White ones get bought because almost nobody has one. Bring it on a boat, bring it to dinner, bring it somewhere it has no business being, and it will still look like it belongs. Sooner or later somebody is going to ask you where you found it.
