Set against a black Méga Tapisserie dial, three midnight blue counters and a matching blue inner ring glow like the Bat-Signal over a dark city, joined by bold luminous Arabic numerals. Framed by the famous octagonal bezel, eight hexagonal screws sit on brushed steel, while mirror polished edges flash with every turn of the wrist. Carved from stainless steel, the 42mm case pairs satin brushed sides with muscular crown guards, built like a vault door and finished like a tailored suit.

Functions include hours, minutes, running seconds, date, chronograph with 30 minute and 12 hour counters, and a tachymeter scale. Powering it all is the self-winding Calibre 3126/3840 with about 50 hours of power reserve, and it stays water resistant to 100 meters with the crown screwed down and the pushers left alone underwater. Found at 3 o’clock, the black ceramic screw-down crown winds the movement when unscrewed, sets the date when pulled out one step, and sets the time when pulled out all the way. After a long rest, give the crown about 30 to 40 turns, move the hands to around 6:30, set the date to yesterday, then turn the hands forward past midnight to today’s date and the correct time. Up at 2 o’clock, the black ceramic top pusher starts and stops the chronograph, and once it is stopped, the bottom pusher at 4 o’clock sends every chronograph hand back to zero.
