Pulled all the way out, the crown stops the seconds hand and sets the minutes and 24-hour hand to home time, which always comes first. Pushed back one notch, the crown jumps the local hour hand alone and turns the date at each midnight, so stop on yesterday’s date and roll on past midnight to today’s local hour.
