You keep a second time zone because your life runs on two clocks. This one shows both without crowding the dial, and when you are home you can tuck the travel hand directly under the local hour hand and forget it is there.
Presents itself in mint condition with little to no signs of wear. Set against a sunburst lacquered blue dial that runs near-black at the outer track and opens to bright royal at the centre as the light moves across it. Framed by the six-sided bezel drawn from the Maltese cross, mirror-polished against a satin-brushed case top so all 41mm of it changes character every time you turn your wrist. Wrapped in a navy rubber strap moulded with that same cross motif and closed by the signed folding clasp.
Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, second time zone, day/night indication. The screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, signed with the Maltese cross, unscrews counter-clockwise and winds the movement in its neutral position. After the watch has been resting a month or more, give it roughly forty turns before setting anything. Pulled out to the second position, the crown drags both time-zone hands and the minute hand together, which is where you set your home time and confirm the AM/PM indicator at 9 o’clock reads correctly. The screw-lock pusher at 4 o’clock unscrews to release the pointer date at 6 o’clock, and each press advances it one day, so set it to the date before today. Then pull the crown to its first position and jump the local hour hand forward in one-hour steps through midnight until the date rolls to today and you reach the current hour, which saves you fighting the movement if it happens to be sitting in the evening. Screw the pusher and the crown back down when you are finished. Powered by the in-house calibre 5110 DT, 234 components running at 28,800 vibrations per hour under a 22K gold oscillating weight cut with the wind rose, and carrying the Hallmark of Geneva on the complete cased watch rather than the movement alone. Holds a 60-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 150 metres, with a soft iron inner case guarding the movement against magnetism.
Comes as a full set, double-boxed with the outer box, wooden presentation box, international warranty card, warranty booklet, instruction booklet, The Hour Club collectors’ card, stainless steel bracelet, blue alligator leather strap, blue rubber strap, and folding deployant clasp. All three are fitted and removed by hand on the Easy-Fit system, and the single folding clasp transfers between the rubber and the leather.
