Fangs out and lights low, some legends only wake after dark. Earning its “Vampire” nickname for a personality that bares itself in the shadows, this Offshore icon struts in like the villain everyone secretly roots for. Bold, brooding, and impossible to ignore, it brings a little Gotham energy to any room it enters.
Presents itself in mint condition with little to no signs of wear. Wrapped in a black Méga Tapisserie dial, the surface plays with light like a checkerboard at midnight while red chronograph accents give it its signature bite. Framed by an octagonal bezel locked down with eight hexagonal screws, the brushed and polished steel catches the eye from across the room. Carved from solid stainless steel, the muscular case blends matte and mirror finishes so it flexes differently with every turn of the wrist.
Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and chronograph. The screw down crown on the right side runs the show, so unscrew it, pull to the first click to quick set the date, then pull to the outer click to set the time. Set the date to the day before today, then walk the hands forward past midnight until today lands in the window at 3 o’clock, which keeps everything smooth and never forces the movement backward. The top right pusher starts and stops the chronograph while the bottom right pusher snaps it back to zero. Powered by a self winding movement with around fifty hours of reserve and shown off through the exhibition caseback, it stays water resistant to 100 meters, so a surprise rain shower or a splash at the marina will not faze it.
Comes as a complete set, double boxed with warranty booklet, and chronograph instruction manual.
Discontinued and quietly turning into one of those Offshore chapters people wish they grabbed sooner, the “Vampire” has earned a cult following all its own. Made for someone who likes their elegance with a wicked streak, it wears just as well with a tuxedo as it does with a leather jacket and bad intentions. Slip it on once, and letting this one slink back into its coffin gets very, very hard.
