Born in 1993 as the bold rebel of the Royal Oak family, the Offshore line has never looked this stealthy.

Presents itself in mint condition with little to no signs of wear. Set against a black Méga Tapisserie waffle pattern, the midnight blue counters and inner bezel hide in dim light and come alive as the dial turns toward the light. Carved from stainless steel, the octagonal bezel pairs brushed tops with mirror polished bevels and is held down by eight polished hexagonal screws. Framed by the sapphire caseback, a solid gold rotor engraved with the family crests of the founders spins like a tiny trophy on display.

Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, date, chronograph, and tachymeter. Sitting at 3 o’clock, the black ceramic screw-down crown winds the self-winding calibre 3126/3840 when unscrewed, quick sets the date at the first click, and sets the time at the second click while the small seconds hand stops. Quick setting the date between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., as Audemars Piguet recommends, keeps the date gears safe. Up top at 2 o’clock, a ceramic pusher starts and stops the chronograph, and once it is stopped, the pusher at 4 o’clock snaps the chronograph hands back to zero. Minutes add up on the 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, hours stack up on the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and the tachymeter ring turns the time it takes to cover one kilometer into average speed.
