Set against a deep navy base, the dial is carved with fine circles at its center that catch the light like ripples on a calm lake, while raised rose gold Arabic numerals stand tall around the edge. Shaped from solid 18k rose gold, the 42mm case is polished like a mirror from top to bottom, with stepped lugs that flow down to the wrist in clean, sharp tiers. Framed by a sapphire window on the back, the movement shows off its striped bridges, ruby jewels, and a silvery platinum micro-rotor engraved with the Calatrava cross. Finished with a soft navy nubuck calfskin strap, cream hand stitching, and a solid rose gold pin buckle, the whole look feels relaxed and sharp at the same time.

A single crown on the right side of the case controls every function and has three positions. Pushed all the way in, the crown winds the watch by hand. Pulled out to the middle position, the crown jumps the solid local hour hand forward or backward one hour at a time, while the minute hand and the skeleton home time hand stay right where they are. Pulled all the way out, the crown sets the minute hand and both hour hands together, and since both hour hands read on the 24-hour scale, day and night are always clear at a glance.
