Patek Philippe Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Silver Dial 18K Rose Gold 41mm MINT CONDITION COMPLETE SET 5270R-001

$148,500.00

Only five families of watches have ever worn Patek’s most famous crown, the perpetual calendar chronograph, and this is the newest chapter of that royal bloodline. The first rose gold 5270 brings one of Patek Philippe’s signature complications into a warmer and distinctly elegant configuration. If your collection already has the greatest hits, this is the rare pressing that makes other collectors lean in and ask questions.

Presents itself in mint condition with little to no signs of wear. Wrapped in a fully polished 18k rose gold case, the sculpted winglet lugs and concave bezel catch the light like liquid metal with every turn of the wrist. Set against that warm glow, the silvery opaline dial stays calm and creamy, letting the applied rose gold batons and leaf hands do all the sparkling. Crowned by a gold on blue moonphase at six o’clock, a tiny painted night sky floats inside an otherwise perfectly tailored stage.

Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph, perpetual calendar with day, date, month, leap year, day and night indicator, and moonphase. Powering it all is the hand wound caliber CH 29-535 PS Q, Patek’s first fully in-house manually wound chronograph movement, with up to 65 hours of power reserve and 30 meters of water resistance. Wind the crown gently about 25 to 30 turns until you feel firm resistance, and never force past the stop. Before adjusting any calendar function, set the hands to 6:30 in the morning and confirm AM on the day and night indicator, as calendar adjustments should not be made during the approximately 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM danger window. Using the setting stylus, the recessed corrector between 10 and 11 o’clock advances the day, the corrector between 11 and 12 advances the date, the corrector at approximately 12:30 between 12 and 1 o’clock advances the month, and the corrector at 6 o’clock advances the moonphase. After a long rest, set the date to the day before today, then turn the hands forward and let the watch advance into the correct date and time. The top right pusher starts and stops the chronograph, while the bottom right pusher resets it to zero.

Comes as a complete set, double boxed with the Certificate of Origin, Patek Philippe document folder, additional solid rose gold caseback, lacquered wooden presentation box, and outer presentation box.

Some invitations deserve the shortlist: a front row seat at Wimbledon, a table at the chef’s counter, and a hand wound rose gold grand complication from Geneva. Complete examples of this short lived reference take years to surface, and the collectors who own one rarely let go. A closer look costs nothing, and it might just finish the story your collection has been telling.
